This past weekend, The Children's Veg Fest drew hundreds of enthusiastic attendees to the Weinberg Y in Waverly for a vibrant, family-focused celebration of plant-based living. The in-person festival was immediately followed by an impactful virtual session that profoundly moved mothers, fathers, and children alike. Attendees were treated to back-to-back child-engaging cooking demos and emotional wellness talks that fostered deep community connections and promoted holistic wellness. The high energy remained consistent throughout the event, culminating in a couple of joyous dance parties that brought families together in a celebration of health and youth.

Riding the wave of this incredible community momentum, Black Veg Society is proud to transition its focus to the upcoming Bmore Vegan Block Party. Scheduled for September 12 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 100 N. Charles St., the Block Party is a free community event dedicated to celebrating plant-based food, local culture, and sustainable living, featuring a bold commitment to zero waste.

The event will feature live entertainment anchored by DJ Boogie The Gr8, alongside interactive activities including mindfulness chats, fitness demonstrations, and ping pong.
